What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of LIVING WATER MINISTRIES based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical teachings.

About the Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)

About God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

About Sin and Salvation

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
(See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

About the Gospel

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by stepping out in faith to receive God's grace through repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit (resurrection).
(See Acts 2:38;I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)

Salvation

God desires that everyone be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. No one is ever too far gone they cannot be saved from sin,  for God is continually reaching for everyone to know Him as Lord and Savior. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ and Him alone. The result of salvation is that a person has been born again and transformed into a new creation. (Acts 4:12, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

The Church

The Church is  the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to make disciples (followers of Jesus) by  proclaiming  the gospel message of Jesus Christ. LWM is a church family that is always there for one another concentrating on and sharing the Love of Christ to it's surrounding communities.

Acts 2:37-38
What shall we do? Then Peter said unto them Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
